I conduct research aimed at advancing the understanding of plant diseases, including their nature, causes, spread, associated losses, and control measures. Specifically, my research focuses on bacterial plant diseases, with an emphasis on detecting, characterizing, and managing pathogens that affect both vegetable and ornamental crops. Additionally, I investigate the mechanisms of plant-pathogen interactions that lead to the induction of disease resistance responses.
